South Essex Science Technicians Group

Area covered: South Essex along the Thames Estuary from Shoeburyness to Thurrock, and beyond
Contact: Lynn Harper email: lynnharper@shoeburyness.southend.sch.uk

The group has been in existence for over 20 years and has 35 member schools so far.  We meet each term and have a speaker / supplier presentation and plenty of time to discuss science matters.  The group organises training courses and had its first conference last summer.  We also have a support network to help with queries, sourcing and loaning equipment, finding new homes for equipment no longer wanted and even finding jobs.  Please email to join our distribution list!

Science Technician's Network

This is a new network looking at providing support and sharing information for all Technicians, inc. Food Technology, Science, Resistant Materials, Art and any other technicians who work in the school environment, who would like to meet other
Technicians in their field of work and could possibly meet once a term.

Just having a support network through email as well would be helpful for everyone.
